Forgotten Glasshouse Fairytale: An Eclectic, Moody Wedding

Behind the old castle Gutenbuchel in Sostanj, Slovenia, as part of the great courtyard of the castle, there is an abandoned glasshouse. Today, we run away to this secret location for an alternative, moody and nostalgic wedding inspiration shoot created by Weddings in Croatia that has all the makings of a modern, mysterious fairytale.

Set in the heart of winter, where nature, as well as the glasshouse, sleeps, the setting creates a celebration filed with untouched and forgotten beauty, photographed by Martina Skrobot Photography.

To mimic the way that flowers grow in nature, floral design by Showroom Design & Events was intentionally wild and organic. A color palette inspired by the greenhouse’s interior was set in neutral shades, imprinted with the winter tones of nature, which also inspired the invasions by Pozivnice Wedding Stuff. Natural textures and elements including wood, silk, linen and ceramics were paired with the greenhouse’s industrial interior of clean glass lines, resulting in an eclectic and organic style.

The selection of dresses by Royal Bride by Ivana Bilic, jewelry by Anamarija Nakit and decor details travel through several stylistic periods, emphasizing the mysterious passage of time just like two lovers lost in a magical fairytale. The eclectic mix of table details, too, intertwined to connect different stylistic periods. A combination of textures, from the rough textures to the subtle, imitate the impact of weather and the passage of time on a once-forgotten space. Hair, accessorized by Anamarija Nakit and styled by Frizerski Studio Fluid , along with makeup, by and Alma Makeup Artist was beautifully styled to be unobtrusive, and gorgeously natural.
