Till death do us PARTY! Today’s celebration is filled with edgy details, fun touches and perfect-for-fall vibes. Plus, it’s another eco-friendly and vegan wedding. YASSS.
Deana Merola, owner of Christopher Michael the Salon in Wallingford, CT, teamed up with Sarah Noele Photography and a group of eco-conscious vendors to create this moody magic at Gillette Castle in East Haddam, CT. With beautiful scenery and architecture, the stone castle was the perfect location for their Till Death Do Us Party wedding,
Sarah Brehent of Brehant Creations Events helped to coordinate and style day-of details. Sarah Noele, the eco-friendly and vegan photographer, captured the pure, soulful, authentic moments.
Both Deana and Sarah are vegan and live eco-friendly lives. “We both have strong passions for ethical practices, veganism and for encouraging others on ways to reduce their carbon footprint. We wanted to team together to showcase our style in a fun and eco way!”
Till Death Do Us Party Vegan Wedding
Kendra Meany from Whole Weddings created a plantable wedding suite invite, vegan dinner menu, name cards and a drink menu with smokey design elements and moody burnt the edges. The invites are made from seed paper will plant either wildflowers or herbs.
Urban Botanist created whimsical and natural, foam-free arrangements. They worked with toffee and champagne roses paired with king protea, pampas grass and greenery to create harvest-themed decor.
Hair and makeup were styled by Christopher Michael The Salon, an all-natural eco-friendly and certified sustainable hair salon in Wallingford CT. They went with a very classic and minimal look, using non-toxic products infused with essential oils and organic ingredients that are cruelty-free, vegan and plant-friendly.
The gown from Flutter Dress was handmade by a small company based in WA. They offer gowns available to rent, which is an excellent sustainable option. “Most women purchase gowns and typically only wear them once; we wanted to showcase that you can rent beautiful gowns and feel better knowing it will be reused over again.” The menswear from Generation Tux was also rented, with handmade tie and pocket square from Dazi USA .
The sweetheart table was custom made by Over Andover, a furniture store that focuses on flipping and repurposing items. Both the base and the tabletop were repurposed for this project.
Cake Vegan Bakery baked and designed the black buttercream vegan and gluten-free wedding cake, decorated with gold leaf to match the warm, golden hues of the day. The table runner on the cake table was part of the hand-dyed collection of gauze runners and napkins from Snassy Crafter.
Online and popup shop Solden provided the tarot card decks, crystals and Palo Santo for the favor table, showcasing alternative options to traditional favors.
The Confetti Bar provided a selection of biodegradable and earth-friendly mixes that include natural and safe materials for outdoor use, such as plantable seed paper, water-soluble pieces, lavender buds, mica flakes, and crushed flower petals. Perfect for party favors and confetti tosses!
