At the base of Camelback Mountain, tucked away in a perfect little nook, surrounded by cactus and desert landscape, Brielle and Stephen exchanged vows at Mountain Shadows, Arizona. Photographer Jenn Wagner captured the wide open view of mountain scenery, framed by a gorgeous circular floral arch which will take your breath away.
Brielle, who was born and raised in Arizona, works in the healthcare industry helping children. Stephen, who is in the finance industry, grew up in Salinas, California near Monterey Bay, moving out to Arizona several years ago after graduating college. The couple had an fun but elegant wedding, creating an atmosphere where their guests could enjoy the evening and celebrate.
They worked with Imoni Events to design their Arizona wedding around a palette of blush, ivory, and green. Lux Wedding Florist accented the desertscape with a stunning floral circle arch by that just took the ceremony space to the next level. We love how they repurposed this gorgeous piece by later using it as a focal point of their rooftop wedding reception.
After their grand entrance, Brielle and Stephen swayed back and forth together as the sun started to dip in the west. They snuck away for a few sunset photos with Jenn Wagner, before the after-dark party began. Lights on and music up, the magic continued into the night.
Our Love Story: We met in Arizona in the fall of 2014 and our love story blossomed from there. We both knew pretty early on in our relationship that we were meant to be together.
We enjoyed traveling together throughout Europe, where Stephen had been planning the engagement in Santorini Greece. He had worked months with the hotel to make the day as perfect as can be. He even got the hotel to pretend to do a photo shoot for their social media page, until I finally realized toward the end of the shoot it was our engagement photo session. He got down on one knee with the beautiful Santorini sunset to our back overlooking the caldera. It was the perfect moment.
Blush + Mint Arizona Wedding at Mountain Shadows
I wore hair all down and curled. I wanted to feel comfortable with a hairstyle that was me. For my makeup I did a light smokey eye, light blush, and a soft pink lip color. My wedding dress was a mermaid style with a low cut back from Lovely Bride. It had beautiful details of lace and beadwork that sparkled.
The bridesmaids wore a blush colored dress with nude heels and had bouquets that were ivory, blush, and green.
Stephen wore a grey suit with blush tie and pocket square, as well as brown shoes. He wore his favorite gunmetal Burberry watch and Vince Camuto cologne. The groomsmen wore navy blue tux, blush tie, blush pocket square, brown shoes, and an ivory boutonniere.
We had fallen instantly in love with the idea of a circular arch for our wedding ceremony backdrop. It fit perfect with the modern style venue of Mountain Shadows with Camelback Mountain as the backdrop.
For our rooftop wedding reception, guests were escorted upstairs after cocktail hour on the lawn. Here they were met with a gorgeous set up of florals and cake, lounge furniture and individual macaroons from Piece of Cake at each place setting.
We utilized the circular arch again at the reception behind our sweetheart table. We just couldn’t get enough of its beauty and the fantastic job the Lux Florist did.
Wedding Planning Advice: Definitely use a wedding planner. We initially thought we could do it ourself, but then realized it was pretty overwhelming. Sarrah at Imoni Events helped us with everything and made the day go perfectly smooth!
