The ravishing, regal and sophisticated 2016 South African wedding dresses from Anna Georgina whispers of a glamorous love affair – long, romantic skirts, cinched waistlines and exquisite craftsmanship by none other than designer Kobus Dippenaar. As one of South Africa’s most loved and well-established fashion designers, Kobus Dippenaar is renowned for his couture evening and bridal gowns. In 2012 he launched the Anna Georgina bridal line as a tribute to his mother. The line has been a runaway success, and brides adorned in Kobus Dippenaar creations are no stranger to Confetti Daydreams!
The collection is a whirlwind of classic silhouettes, coupled with the finest fabrics in ivory, blush and nude. Think soft bias-cut dresses in satin, and mermaid gowns in lace. Some ball gown skirts are playfully layered beneath whimsical tulle, others are chic and simply sophisticated with an emphasis on their bias-cut lines.
While Anna Georgina’s trademark floral appliques, fabric petals and sparkling crystal pieces continue to form the thread that draws the collection together, each gown is an individual work of art. The 2016 Anna Georgina wedding dress collection also introduces the two-piece Sapphire gown which is right on trend. These spectacular gowns are available in the UK here and in South Africa here.
