Marsala & Gold Winter Wedding
Katie Sams, Photographer of Red Boat Photography based in Knoxville, TN, takes us through the details of the shoot:
“This Marsala-inspired styled shoot was made possible by some of the most talented and artistic vendors in and around North Carolina. The custom-made gown from Myline’s Bridal was 100% silk, and moved so beautifully in the light breeze we were having that day.
The gold-adorned cake by Maxie B’s Bakery was crafted by their expert wedding events team and was stunning. With ornamental elements hand picked in Italy, the necklace from Compass Jewelry made a statement against the elegantly understated gown. Makeup artist Anne Christian Johns did a beautiful job of enhancing our model Tiffany’s features and incorporated contrasting colors that would enhance the Marsala theme. Honeybee Events offered styling consultation, and provided beautiful decor for their rentals department.
Designer Buds did a phenomenal job of creating a floral runner and gorgeous bouquets incorporating Marsala-inspired hues and interesting complimentary colors. The venue was an absolutely stunning Victorian home built in the 1800’s, provided a beautiful backdrop in the afternoon sun. The home is now a wedding venue that offers brides timeless beauty and memories for their wedding. The warm staff of Gray Gables welcomed us with open arms and attended to our every need. We couldn’t have done the session without the help of our talented intern Mary Ellen, who hand-picked the models and worked closely with all the vendors to make this shoot a success. “

On my first glance at the bride I thought she was Arya Stark from the Game of thrones series! Very lovely and pretty! I hope I can find a great artistic team like that in Australia. My wedding reception will be in Westella Renaissance. I want a gold vintage theme wedding! Thank you guys for this idea! Wonderful!
