Today’s copper burgundy and blush wedding detail ideas are romantic and delicately rustic. Copper votives and decor are combined with soft pieces in nude hues of pink and gentle greys. Exquisite tablecloths from The Tablecloth Hiring Company are paired with lush greenery and florals also in nude tones. Eucalyptus, black berries and plump figs are used to create the table centre piece, lending a subtly festive feel, captured by Mooi Photography.
Hints of pantone’s popular Marsala wedding colour are added to accent floral arrangements, bridal bouquet and wedding arch. Set at the beautiful Klein Roosboom boutique winery, which is located at coastal entrance of the Durbanville Wine Valley, the roughness of the cellar creates the stunning backdrop for the rustic and soft colour pallet. It juxtaposes beautifully against the delicate décor and soft floral arrangements on the table.

The feminine, detailed dresses by Annica Lourens Couture are made of delicate lace designed in neutral colour palettes. Layers of Italian tulle, and luxurious chiffon details tie in beautifully with the fabric draping on the reception tables.
Floral design and decor styling for the copper burgundy and blush wedding shoot was conceptualized by Styling by MO. She uses rose gold as the core accent color, marrying it with glass and copper materials. “Nude pink color, soft drapings and satin table cloth create a romantic atmosphere. We use rose gold and glass candle holders with lots of crystal tea light holders to add soft lighting with various candles. We add an almost masculine element to the overall with bold mahogany colored florals, fresh black berries, blue berries and figs.”
A copper and white marzipan layered cake by Greta’s Cake Corner is decorated with foraged berries, different shades of roses and marsala burgundy Gerberas.
Stationary by Nifty’s Design & Decor adds a subtle vintage element which complement the floral theme in shades of burgundy and blush.
La Bella Vita styled hair and make up: “Makeup is very natural using brown and bronze colours on the eyes with a pink lip and cheek. For the backless, short sleeved dress a modern French roll is created, with some additional texture. For the long sleeved wedding dress a soft, textured side plait creates a romantic feel.”
A soft make up look with a darker eye accentuates green eyes. Here a loose wavy up style with strategically placed flowers makes for a pretty picture.
A gorgeous arch is made out of copper piping, draped elegantly with soft netting fabric, as well as greenery and florals in shades of pink and burgundy.
Wedding Planning Tips:
The team who conceptualized and created this copper, burgundy and blush wedding share the following wedding planning tips for our readers:
- Ask other vendors for references of suppliers that they have worked with before. Don’t just pick a name off the internet – you might be disappointed.
- Put together a ring binder with all your lists, ideas, images, photos, and magazine pages. Start planning and simplifying your day. Ask a friend or a wedding planner to help with this task.
- Pinterest can be really handy when researching DIY wedding projects. Look for ideas and videos and scroll through different wedding blogs for ideas.
- Remember that wedding flowers are mostly seasonal. Be open to different variations of what could possibly work on your day. Don’t just focus on one type of flower or idea.
- Be realistic about your budget. Leave a little room in your pocket for in case…
