Ueda Photography shot this earth-loving wedding set in the outdoors that was inspired by leftover paint colours and recycled wedding decor. Bonnie and Brian’s wedding is another fine example of a celebration of an engaged couple’s love and commitment to each other that is true to who they are as a couple.
As earth lovers, the couple looked for creative ways to create their stationary and decor. To add to the bohemian charm of the day, their pet dog was even in attendance! Be inspired by several of the handmade details that made up their special day.
Cheerful DIY Outdoor Wedding Look
(Above) Natural beauty Bonnie wore a soft ivory v-neck strappy wedding dress with cascading layers and a touch of dirty gold thanks to the skinny belt wrapped around her waist. Her hairstyle was sculpted into a soft up-style with a flattering side parting that drew attention to her vintage earrings.
(Above) The bridesmaids wore above-the-knee summer dresses in neutral shades. Elements of lace, netting, ribbon and elaborate, yet simple patterns could be appreciated from the style each dress.
(Above) Brian looked dashing in a white shirt, tan vest and comfortable slacks. His groomsmen wore matching slacks, white shirts and braces. The natural colour semi-formal attire suited the casualness of the outdoor wedding.

Bonnie and Brian’s Love Story
Theirs is a sweet love story of the 21 century. Sharing mutual friends, Bonnie and Brian first connected over social media before they officially met and fell in love.
The Tale Of Their Proposal
While on holiday in the lovely city of Mexico, the pair were typical tourists enjoying a guided tour when all of a sudden, Brian suggested they break away from the group.
However, Bonnie who was thoroughly enjoying the tour, was in no mood for breaking away from group. Of course, this little hiccup made Brian all the more determined to get her alone to himself!
After some time, Brian eventually coaxed Bonnie to follow him to a rock perched on the beach. The big moment had arrived and Brian proceeded to bend down on one knee while pulling a ring out of his pocket and asking Bonnie for her hand in marriage. And surprise, surprise – she said YES!
The couple stood at the forefront of their green wedding aisle and exchanged their vows hand-in-hand. Standing in front of a big tree adorned with their pink heart decoration, they had their dog at their feet.
Cheerful DIY Outdoor Wedding Reception
(Above) Cute guest name tags were created and pegged with mini wooden cloth pegs across a twine line. Each guest grabbed their name tag and either pinned it to their clothing or attached it to their beverage.
(Above) As their loved ones arrived and had found their seats from the glorious seating chart, their recorded little love notes and messaged for Bonnie and Brian to treasure in their keepsake wedding guest scrap book decorated with paper hearts and pretty paper flowers.
(Above) In addition to having their names as a quirky backdrop to their table, Bonnie and Brian also had strings of paper hearts hanging behind and across their table. Mini votive candles and colourful bunches of flowers were found scattered all over the venue. Adding a great texture to the occasion, burlap was used to adorn the flower vases and for the guest’s placemats.
(Left) Colourful paper pinwheel flowers were created and served to dress up the background wall that showed off their miniature wedding cake.
(Below) Handmade cake toppers resembling the bride and groom in their wedding day attire added the perfect dose of character to their plain, yet delicious cake.
Boasting beautiful DIY details, their wedding embraces the eco-friendly trend that is becoming well-known for weddings of the 21 century! We wish Bonnie and Brian a happy life together with many cheerful moments spent with the shining star of their wedding day – their dear dog!
