Photographer Marisa Belle Photography wanted to create something beautiful in the desert using a warm palette of berry, blush and pink with pops of green. The stunning Superstition Mountain set the backdrop at The Paseo, serving as the perfect location for their classic, glamorous scene. The result was a berry and blush desert wedding with calligraphy details by Paper and Posies which we fell in love with right away!
Marisa envisioned the timeless elegance of a structured, embellished Hailey Paige dress, with vintage jewelry and styling by Ristyle Consulting, finished off with glamorous hair and makeup by Nicole Rehak. Combining this with flowers by Prim Unique Rentals, and the wild, natural colors of the desert created a spectacularly elegant sense of drama.
The tablescape by Matiana Mitchell Designs, cake from Ruze Cakehouse and rentals from Dang Fine Rentals completed the scene, whisking us away to the romantic early evening soiree Marisa Belle envisioned, brought so perfectly to life!
The gorgeous models, Lauren and JJ Garcia, are an actual couple: “They’ve been married 5 years, portraying a chemistry that you can’t fake. Lauren is a popular blogger and style contributor in Arizona. Her blog is called What Lola Likes and it is fantastic!”
Berry & Blush Desert Wedding + Calligraphy Details
The shoot starts with our model, Lauren wearing a traditional ceremony gown, and JJ adding a little excitement with a burgundy three piece suit. Hayley Paige provided two gorgeous gowns that completely embodied the timeless elegance I was envisioning! The first dress, The Lana, fit Lauren like a glove and the geometric pattern stood out beautifully.
Calligraphy by Paper and Posies brought a ethereal feel to the bouquet while still maintaining timeless elegance. The quote reads “So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you.” by Pablo Ceolho from The Alchemist. The Alchemist is close to my heart as my husband and I read excerpts to each other at our own wedding.
The florals by Prim Unique Rentals were absolutely stunning. Lara McDonald, the floral designer for Prim used Quicksand Roses, Dahlias, Peonies, Protea (my favorite), snap dragon, eucalyptus, heather and astilbe. She did such an incredible job complimenting the desert feel and colors as well as maintaining timeless elegance.
The tablescape was brilliantly created by Matiana Mitchell of Matiana Mitchell Designs and Dang Fine Rentals. Her table and benches paired perfectly with The Paseo’s rustic-industrial feel. The beautiful bright table runner bounced of the desert backdrop and added the beautiful punch of color we wanted. Her vintage glass cups looked beautiful with the dark onyx plates and gold flatware. With the finishing touch of real prickly pair placed on each cup giving our table some height and bringing in a literal representation of our desert surroundings.
The second dress, The Giada, was perfect for the reception look with beaded detail perfect backless “Wow” factor! The stylist on this shoot was the talented Risa Kostis owner of RISTYLE Consulting. She carefully chose the jewelry to compliment the theme and elegance of the Hayley Paige gowns we used. She completely nailed it in my opinion, pulling the beautiful pieces from Vintage Fashion Inc here in Phoenix, AZ.
The invitation suite, calligraphy, and watercolor art was created by Paper and Posies. She blew me away with her design. It was romantic and earthy bringing in the desert colors with punches of dark berry ink and turmeric. All the paper and watercolor art was created using organic dyes, beets, berries and turmeric. Jenna’s watercolor work was a stunning contribution, beautifully complimenting the desert backdrop and colors.
I HAD to use The Mrs. Box to style int invitation suite! The color was perfect and the velvet added that perfect classic texture!
Nicole Rehak of Leidan Mitchell Salon absolutely understood my vision. She perfectly framed Lauren’s beautiful face with elegant waves and her make-up artistry gave Lauren a fabulous bridal look. The dark lip complimented Lauren so well!
