The scene of it all

With rocks,  seawater, sand and lush green surroundings, Koelbaai, Cape Town, South Africa was the perfect location for the seaside photoshoot. To top off our 22 Wedding Photo Ideas & Poses {Bridal Must Do!}, this photo shoot is especially special as it makes the most of the great outdoors!

Meet the Family

Jon Roth, Michelle Roth & their little creation, James Roth. Jon is originally from Johannesburg but moved to the Cape in 1995. Michelle is a born and bred Somerset West girl.

 

This is a family with a shared love for the great outdoors. The boys love fishing and camping; while loving mother, Michelle, is a fantastic artist. James, an amazing 5 year old attending a Montessouri school in Somerset West loves cars and trains.

How they met

Even though they attended different schools, loving couple, Jon and Michelle met during high school through mutual friends.

 

The Proposal

Jon recalls that they were at their permanent campsite at Theewaterskloof Yacht Club, where they spend a lot of their family weekends away. While playing their wedding song in the background, Jon said to James who had walked past “I have a big surprise”. Jon then bent down on one knee next to the bonfire and in front of  James and Michelle, he said: “Mommy, Daddy and James are going to be a proper family”. Then with tears in both of their eyes, Jon proceeded to propose to Michelle. At that very moment, James appropriately said: “Mommy, never take that ring off!“. Yay! Another sweet proposal story to add to our proposals such as the special one shared in our {Real Bride Feature} A Fairy Tale Wedding Theme.

 

 The Wedding

Jon and Michelle plan to tie the knot at Zevenwacht Wine Estate on the 27th October 2012! We wish them a memorable family affair! With much love from Confetti Day Dreams, enjoy celebrating your big day together and remember, smile for the camera!
