Getting Ready Wedding Photo Checklist
There is no doubt that the period of “getting ready” is filled with plenty of emotions to capture. In the lead up to the moment of saying your “I Do’s”, every step of the transformation that you make into a bride is worth documenting.
Special attention should be placed on all of the details that make up your complete bridal look, from your dress and his suit, to your make-up, perfume, jewellery, headpieces, bridal heels and groom’s shoes. Your wedding invitation can also be captured up-close.
The bridal preparation shots are taken at both venues where you, your groom and your bridal party are getting ready. In addition to candid and bridal party group shots, special attention should be paid on the bridal couple getting ready. From the celebratory drinks enjoyed with your bridal party to the time spent grooming yourself with the rest of your bridal party in tow, be sure to also take some time aside to be photographed alone by your photographer.
Once you’re ready to depart for the wedding ceremony, grab a few pics with your bridal party – you with your bridesmaids and your groom with his groomsmen. Your photographer should also capture you alone as a blushing bride or grinning groom each on their way to the altar.

Some of the most important shots to be captured throughout the course of your Big Day takes place during the moments leading up to, during and after the exciting wedding ceremony.
The wedding ceremony has many magical moments that shouldn’t be missed. Prior to the start of the ceremony service, your arrival at the ceremony venue should be captured. Ensure that your photographer also captures the priceless moments of the groom’s first look of his bride-to-be and your first kiss as husband and wife. The ceremony program, decor details of the venue and the look of anticipation on the faces of everyone who are awaiting your arrival and walk down the aisle are also great pics to shoot!
After the “I do’s” and once you have signed the marriage register, it is confetti time! As you and your hubby walk back down the aisle together as a married couple, the moments that your loved ones are showering you with confetti and congratulations should not be missed!
After the ceremony and perhaps during the time that your guests are enjoying their pre-drinks, take time to capture photos with your entire bridal party before you are whisked away for all of your couple pics. This is the time for all of the poses, sweet smooches, loving gazes and tight embraces to be recorded. Grab a few photo props to spice up your couple shoot.
Wedding Reception Photo Checklist
The wedding reception is when the celebration of your marriage can be captured with all of your loved ones in a pretty venue while everyone is enjoying delicious foods and heavenly music.

Once guests begin to filter through the entrance of the venue, several more photos should be taken of them signing the guest book and finding their seats.
Before they are enjoyed by you and your guests, photos of the many beautiful and delicious foods, drinks and treats on your wedding menu, which you fussed over while planning your wedding, should be taken. Don’t forget a key moment not to be missed – the traditional cutting of the cake.

Extra shots with your family and friends celebrating after the reception meal, during Venetian Hour, right up until your departure from the the wedding reception can all be added to your list of photos to be taken.
