This modern inspiration for the minimalist bride, styled by KC Pruneda and Briana Morrison Photography, shows us how to work with a basic palette of white and black to create a strikingly bold wedding look.
The Minimalist, Modern Bride
Pantone’s color of the year, Living Coral, was the perfect accent color. It’s subtle enough that it doesn’t take away from the stark white but has such a wonderful pop of color that it breathed real life into the color palette, explains KC Pruneda of VIP Event Planning.
Minimalist Modern Bride Wedding Inspo
Minimalist Bride’s Wedding Stationery: Everglow Handmade mixed a classic font with calligraphy. It was a fun pairing that helped express the balance between fun & serious for the shoot, inspired by a white, minimalist palette that had an air of elegance to it.
Minimalist Bride’s Wedding Flowers: Looking Glass House and Farm chose cappuccino roses as the main focal point because of how their antiqued blush color pops against the clean white feel of the shoot. Overflowing greenery made it even more garden-inspired. As a farmer-florist, I’m always inspired by floral design that feels organic and a little un-tame. This shoot was sleek and white, so it allowed for a fun mixture of softness with a little vibrancy. My main inspiration is always an overflowing garden that’s both romantic and edgy.
Minimalist Bride’s Wedding Cake: Lisa Cakes chose isomalt hexagons for a clean, white and glass look. The white drip helped to soften up the sharp edges of the cake design.
Minimalist Bride’s Wedding Table Setting: VIP Event Planning chose minimalist elements in white or clear glass with a touch of black to keep everything simple and clean. The candles added a softer touch to the stark whites.
Minimalist Bride’s Hair & Make-Up: For her hair Make Me Blush wanted something sleek that would showcase her ethnicity and beautiful bone structure so she kept her bun natural. Soft smokey eyes made her brown eyes pop, a more subtle look for a classy and timeless look. Her hair and makeup was purposefully styled in a way that truly celebrates her ethnicity.
