Boudoir Shoot

Oh my! Sneak a peek at this rock’abilly chic meets Amy Winehouse-themed photo shoot that turns on the heat in a fun way! Adding to our much-loved collection of rock-inspired photo shoot inspiration such as this Rocking the Country {Engagement Shoot}, photographer, Steph Jones shares this alluring boudoir shoot that combines a guitar, vintage LP records and hidden treasures from a vintage suitcase as props. And as fate would have it, the model who’s name also happened to be Amy, fit the style of the shoot perfectly dressed in a mix of bold rocker chic attire.
The Rock’abilly Chic Look: Although a bold attitude is everything in such a shoot, this rock’abilly chic look reminiscent of soul singer, Amy Winehouse, is all about the eyes, lips and hair. Va va va voom hair with a red flower adornment, red-hot lips and dramatic eye make-up adds the rock chic flavour to this photo shoot. We adore Amy’s half-up half-down hairdo with mega volume and messy tendrils, as well as the few simple pieces of antique-like jewellery added to her different looks.
The Rock’abilly Chic Boudoir: The cool ‘n chic boudoir surroundings with its rich wooden floors and complimentary blue-wall background was the ideal place for the photo shoot, which showcased plenty of deep red.
The Rock’abilly Chic Photo Props: A great idea is to use all of the photo props as a focal point, as Steph did in part of the shoot. A red vintage suitcase overflowing with Amy’s lingerie and photo props made a great prop itself. A vintage typewriter was also one of the many photo props used in this boudoir shoot.
The Rock’abilly Chic Wow Factor: Model, Amy’s tattoos were captured beautifully together with delicate lace lingerie. We love how the colours have been enhanced against a black and white background.
Although a newcomer to boudoir photography, photographer, Steph Jones, really outdid herself with a tastefully captured shoot that oozes the rock’abilly chic bedroom atmosphere that she was going for.
