Shannon and Ryan’s rustic, romantic Eucalyptus-themed garden wedding was filled with bohemian beauty – kinda perfect for an outdoor wedding in Sedona. The day was set in neutrals, with a hint of pink.
Gorgeous bride Shannon not only planned and styled the wedding at Creekside Inn at Sedona herself, but made much of the decor, too. Family and friends joined hearts and hands to create signage, design florals, their wedding cake and assisted with hair and make-up styling. Now THIS is the kind of elegant, handmade wedding every modern DIY bride dreams of!
Photographer Ryann Lindsey captured each and every dreamy moment!
Romantic Eucalyptus Themed Garden Wedding
Love Story: We first met as coworker at a Mexican restaurant and became good friends. While there was an attraction, neither of us was available at the right time. We finally got together after I went to dental hygiene school, and a couple of years later we had our baby boy, Maddox! Ryan proposed one weekend in Sedona, while we were wine tasting with all of our close – it was the reason we decided to marry in Sedona, too!
Wedding Dress: I wore a Maggie Sottero dress from Lillian Lottie which had five delicate layers of lace and very thin straps. One of my best friends/ bridesmaids is a makeup artist so I was very fortunate to have someone I trust do my makeup. I went with soft, bright and summery makeup. My hair was worn back in a low, messy updo and flower crown on top.
Wedding Bouquet: I love the greenery look with very white/ light pink flowers. I wanted a hint of bright pink in each bouquet. The flowers were mostly greenery (different types of eucalyptus) with garden roses, roses, ranunculus, peonies, and proteas (my favorite). My moms best friend is very talented and did all my florals at the wedding. I went to the wholesale flower store with her and picked everything out myself. My moms friend doesn’t do this for a living but she absolutely nailed it and my flowers were gorgeous!
Bridesmaids’ Dresses: The bridesmaids wore long, romantic Show Me Your Mumu dresses of the same style,in either champagne or soft floral. Their bouquets were created in shades of pink and green with a single bright pink focal flower.
Groom and Groomsmen: My groom and our groomsmen wore dark blue suits with floral ties from Dazi which looked great!
Wedding Ceremony: Our son was the ring bearer and my niece was the flower girl. They were the cutest!
(Above) Our son stole the show. He held a little wooden sign that said “Ok daddy, here comes mama.”
My dad built the wood arch that we stood under and we were near a creek and trees surrounded us everywhere! It was very dreamy.
The guests sat on wooden benches and the florist decorated the arch perfectly. I walked down the aisle to Eric Church’s “Like Jesus Does”.
We are huge Eric Church fans and have been to many country concerts together.
There was a lot of crying between both of us!
Wedding Reception: Our tables were a mixture of farm tables and regular round tables with champagne linens. The farmtables had brass candlesticks and a lace runner. The round tables had floral centerpieces w small candles.
The head table was made up of three farm tables together, decorated with a greenery and fresh flower garland down the center, and brass vintage candlesticks.
Dessert Table: My uncle is a chef and amazing baker and made our semi-naked cake, brownies, lemon bars, pecan bars and chocolate covered strawberries. The table looked amazing!
