Beautiful bride in the Snow ♥
The inspiration and styling for this winter bride session from Ashley Rae Photography in Phoenix, Arizona, was to capture beautiful wintery wedding portraits that really made the couple stand out in the snow: “This can be the most romantic time of year with snowfall, twinkling lights, and crackling fires translate to the most romantic time of year. I wanted to translate that into a beautiful winter wonderland wedding portraits.” And we’re suckers for gorgeous forest wedding inspiration!
The ‘bride’ and gorgeous model, The J Petite, wore an ivory Watters gown from Bella Lily Bridal, accompanied with a evergreen wreath that hugged the bride, berry crown, and a warm bridal bouquet of orange and red roses for this snowy winter setting.
“Living in the desert is absolutely beautiful, but it was nice escape to the snowy mountains of Flagstaff, Arizona,” shares Ashley. “I dreamed of snowy-dusted trees, the fresh powder smell as sun toasted through the pine tree’s while the bride and groom snuggled in to stay warm. It was truly a magical white wedding shoot that warmed the heart. Even though it was cold in the snow, this gorgeous setting was full of winter warmth and love that makes you want to cozy up with a hot cup of hot coco with the one you love.”
Working with deep greens, oranges, and berry red, the team created a warm and cozy color palette. Floral artist, Hoot & Holler, wanted to bring in the settings natural elements with the florals for the perfect winter look. The floral bouquet was full of winter oranges and red roses for bringing in warmth to the setting. The evergreen wreath was used to create a shawl for the bride to cover up with as well as partnering with a red berry pine crown that was festive and rich.
Pearl’s Beauty and Make Up Design’s inspiration was to create a winter snow white look: “We did blue smoky eyes with berry red lips and pale pink cheeks. I wanted the brides hair to be down so the sun could illuminate through her golden brown hair.”
The bride wore a long ivory gown, so that floral elements and the couples connection was spotlighted. The gown was a tulle floor length gown by Watters fromBella Lily Bridal. The corset was beaded like snowflakes that sparkled when glisten in the sun.
